Claire and Alans Summertime Hilltop Glow
Claire and Alan GGs Yard Wedding was truly magical. But a little more backstory on this lovely couple. They met on a chance meeting on a night out a few years ago and the rest, as they say, is history. They both love walking and hiking together and Alan proposed to Claire at the top of Lotus Hill which made a fitting place for their engagement shoot which you can see here. Lotus Hill Engagement ShootThe big day has finally arrived.
The morning of the wedding started off with visiting the guys as decided to start their day off with a bang with some clay pigeon shooting! I left the guys with my ears ringing but all of us in great spirits and headed to GGs Yard where the wedding would take place. Claire with all her bridesmaids got ready at the venue in its very own Bridal Suite. Hair By Kisahana & Makeup by the powder room. The building has some of the most beautiful surroundings imaginable and makes for the best detail shots. From the venue, you have panoramic sea views over the Irish Sea and Solway Firth. And so it was time for the Ceremony, Claire and her mum walked down the aisle with a tear in her eye. With her veil draped flowingly over her head as she saw Alan for the first time on the day. Alan carefully peeled back the veil to see his beautiful bride and soulmate gazing back with open eyes. The ceremony had every watching with bated breath from close friends ruth handwritten poem. They exchanged rings, solemn vows and one big kiss and now they are Mr & Mrs Rutherford! The end of the ceremony finished with everyone singing Hey Ho by the Lumineers lead by Helen Oneill.Happily ever after.
We all went outside for a very long and colour confetti shot, a few family formals and then myself and the videographer made out way up the long and winding dirt path to the top of the Hill at GGs Yard Wedding Venue for the couples shoot and it didn’t disappoint with beautiful views overlooking the Solway (I shall let the pictures do the talking) After the Hilltop shoot, the couple went minging before what was a fantastic set of speeches led by Claire’s mum Lynda. Then it was for the dancing to begin with a super fun band and a few ceilidh songs too. Its been a pleasure getting to know you both over these last few years and see how your love has grown ever stronger and thank you for letting me be a part of your big day.
